A health awareness talk on Dengue and General Hygiene was held at the Guniyal Gaon Govt Intercollege. Nurse Educators; Rohan Bisht and Anchal Sharma from Max Hospital, Dehradun spoke to 60 students on Dengue prevention, symptoms and control and educated children on importance of General Hygiene.

Healthcare Initiatives in adopted village Dhakrani, Dehradun.
On Oct 30th, a Multi Speciality Health camp was organised at the Dhakrani Panchayat Ghar. Volunteers from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dehradun helped in conducting the camp. Dr. Akshat and Dr. Wasi from Max Hospital, Dehradun examined 348 villagers. Besides this, on Oct 26th, a team of 20 Max Life Insurance employees and agent advisors visited 100 houses at Dhakrani village. They spoke about waste management, cleanliness, hygiene and introduced financial literacy. The importance of Swacch Raho, Swasth Raho was also highlighted and every family visited was given a gift.

Max India Foundation partnered with NGO Sustainable Green Initiative to Plant 2500 fruit trees in homes of residents of our adopted village Dhakrani. These will be maintained & nurtured by the NGO for one year.

In the month of Oct, 12 immunization camps were organised through support from NGO partners for the community people in Delhi, NCR and Bhubneshwar. 3339 shots were given to the children.

A Mobile Cancer Screening Camp was organised on 13th Oct in association with Indian Cancer Society in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. 112 people from the community were checked and provided with relevant information on importance of timely detection and preventive measures.

During the month of October, Max India Foundation organised 6 Breast Self examination workshops for early detection of Breast Cancer in association with NGOs- Andhra Vanitha, Gianelli Sadan, Chetnalaya, Neev, Vibhuti Welfare Education Society and Niveda Foundation benefiting approximately 300 women in Delhi and NCR.
